Try an explanation now

Choose one paragraph from something you are reading. Write down its main point and two supporting details. Put the paragraph away and explain it aloud in 60 seconds, as if speaking to someone who has never read it.

Compare your words with the reading

Look back at the paragraph. Did you state its main point? Which supporting detail did you miss? Did you add a claim the passage does not support? Choose one missing or unclear idea to address.

Keep the topic and try again

Repeat the explanation with that one change. Keep the reading and time limit the same so you can compare the two attempts. A smoother second take shows rehearsal progress; try a new passage to check whether the change carries over.
